Terms and Conditions
General:
- A minimum 30-day processing period is required from the time a standard Rewards Point is collected to the time it appears in your account. Promotion Bonus Rewards Points may take longer.
- Rewards must be redeemed by the Primary Cardholder only.
- Your current Rewards Points total must be at least equal to the Rewards Points value of the Rewards you are requesting.
- Once a reward has been issued it cannot be returned or exchanged for Rewards Points, cash or other products.
- You may be asked to pay any customs or other duties payable in respect of any redeemed rewards.
- The selection of Rewards suppliers for redemption of Rewards Points is at the discretion of “My Rewards Points”.
- All the rewards in this website can only be redeemed by cardholders in the country they are registered with HSBC.
- Part payment of your Reward choice may or may not qualify for Rewards Points - check with our Service Centre.
- Rewards offered on this website are subject to availability, and may be amended without prior notice.
- Some rewards may differ slightly from the image shown.
- Rewards or Rewards Vouchers will be, at the discretion of “My Rewards Points”, posted or delivered to the current or designated address of the Cardholder shown in Bank records.
- If Rewards or Rewards Vouchers are couriered, an extra charge of 2,000 Rewards Points may apply.
- Rewards or Rewards Vouchers will be delivered within seven working days of receiving the redemption request.
- All Rewards are subject to such other terms and conditions as are mentioned in the then current reward schedule or in any other terms and conditions relating to the Rewards, determined by the Reward provider.
- The number of Rewards Points set out in the then current Reward schedule for a Reward claimed will be deducted from the Rewards Points balance of the Cardholder’s Rewards Points Programme record.
- The Company is not liable for
- any loss, theft or damage to any Reward in the course of post or delivery.
- any Reward not being available for any reason.
- any failure by the Reward provider to meet the Terms and Conditions on which it has agreed to provide a Reward.
- any failure to notify Cardholders of any changes in these Terms and Conditions, the Reward schedule, qualifying goods and services and/or the number of Rewards Points which will be recorded for the purchase of qualifying goods and services.
- The Company may change, at any time and without a prior notice, these Terms and Conditions, or the Reward schedule. The Company may make that change even if it has the effect of reducing or extinguishing the number or value of, or the period of expiry of, any existing or future Rewards Points. The Company will attempt to notify members of any changes.
- All conditions and warranties, whether express or implied and whether arising under legislation or otherwise, as to the conditions suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services programme supplied under the HSBC Rewards Points Programme are expressly excluded to the full extent permitted by the law.
- Rewards (excluding vouchers) which are not claimed within six months of the date from which you spent your Points will expire.
Rewards Points + Money:
Rewards Points + Money allows you to redeem a reward when you do not have sufficient points. Where relevant, the extra Rewards Points required can be found next to the Reward.
- For Rewards Points + Money redemptions made online, you will be required to enter your Credit Card details via a secure server, hosted by Network International, P.O. Box 4487, Dubai, UAE, who will authorise and process your payment.
- All Credit Card information is encrypted using SSL technology only for use by Network International, during Credit Card transactions through a 3-D secure payment gateway. For additional information on Network International go to www.network.ae
- If you make a payment and the redemption is not processed, due for example to a product being out of stock, we will refund your payment directly to your Credit Card and any Rewards Points deducted will be credited back to your account.
Flights Rewards
- Flight rewards do not qualify for frequent flyer programme points.
- After a booking has been confirmed, it cannot be refunded, transferred, upgraded or changed.
- All air travel must be completed within six months of the date of the original confirmed booking.
- Your request must be made at least 14 days prior to the required travel date.

- The published reward levels are for off-peak travel only. Peak season charges may apply for travel between (but not restricted to) 15 Jun to 15 Aug, 14 Dec to 02 Jan and 7 days during Eid Al Fitr (31AUG to 06SEP 2011), Eid Al Adha (05NOV to 11NOV 2011), Public and other Holidays as well. Correct surcharge/s if any will be advised at the time of the booking.
- Flight Rewards exclude tax and surcharges. Flights are subject to availability.
- “My Rewards Points” accepts no responsibility for any loss from or related to:
- Travel Cancellation or delay
- Loss or damage to luggage or other property
- Personal accident or sickness suffered while travelling
- Any other circumstances arising from redemption of Rewards Points outside the control of “My Rewards Points”.
- Refund charges.
- Any other circumstances arising from redemption of My Rewards Points outside the control of My Rewards Points.
THE AIRLINES, HOTELS AND OTHER SUPPLIERS PROVIDING TRAVEL OR OTHER SERVICES ARE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS AND NOT AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES OF My Rewards Points/AIRMILES. My Rewards Points/AIRMILES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTS, ERRORS, OMISSIONS, REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, BREACHES OR NEGLIGENCE OF ANY SUCH SUPPLIERS. My Rewards Points/AIRMILES HAVE NO LIABILITY AND WILL MAKE NO REFUND IN THE EVENT OF ANY DELAY, CANCELLATION, OVERBOOKING, STRIKE, FORCE MAJEURE OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THEIR DIRECT CONTROL, AND THEY HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ADDITIONAL EXPENSE, OMISSIONS, DELAYS, RE-ROUTING OR ACTS OF ANY GOVERNMENT OR AUTHORITY.
